In case you have not noticed....

I have been moving articles and reviews from the old writers blog, over to the main blog here, to save time, and create less confusion.

All the MusicRVA writers have been transferred here except one. We no longer support that writer or their work for a number of reasons, BUT, we do support the bands that were written about, so you can still find all those articles and any other posts that were not articles on the old blog, and that is where they will stay, as they are already indexed and spidered by the search engines.

Moving the writers articles over to the main blog, not only gives them a boost for the articles they have written, but also enables anyone who did not see them on that blog, a chance to read them on the main blog, so its a double benefit!
Plus, since the MusicRVA Blog has gotton several write ups, and good attention called to it on its own, everybody wins.

New Articles and Reviews Blog

I have decided to serve the writers published pages on another blog instead of directly on the site for several reasons. First and foremost, Blogger recieves a tremendous amount of traffic, and this will not only help the site rankings, but it will enable our authors and writers much more exposure than the site alone can give them. It will also be easier to read and organise. MRVA writers who have proved to be exceptionally good at what they do will eventually also be given permission to publish directly to the blog. This will make the published material hit the media faster, and will allow for atom and RSS feeds. There is also a new feed box especially for this purpose on the site. Just click on any article title that interests you and you will be taken directly here.

UPDATE: New Forms, New Tools, New Toys....

MusicRVA contact forms are finally in place.

Bands and venues now have thier own forms to request a link to the site, as well as services such as studios, radio, etc, can use the same form.

Find that form at REQUEST A LINK.

Writers now also have a form to submit your info to be a writer for the site. You can find that form at WRITING REQUEST.

The site has a new interactive guestbook that you can find on the contact page CONTACT. please stop by and sign it, and add your image or logo.

In case you don't know yet, the video area is up and running, and the vids are definately getting watched according to stats, Yippee!!
I will also be adding a local band Playlist to the site, which will be available shortly.

I have been trying out some new toys, like voice mail, we will see if they will sink or swim. I like to experiment with widgets, and if they work, great, and if not, se la vie!! It's always fun to see what new technology and toys the internet can come up with LOL
